Of Sinks and Stones

We’re currently house hunting in England.

Or at least, we’re not IN England yet, but we’re hunting for a house, on the internet. Which is different to house hunting in person of course. While you are only able to see the most flattering images of the houses on offer, it does draw your eye to the small details of each house in turn. Things like a triple undermount sink, a mantle piece and window finishings really become scrutinized.

The one house that has really stood out for us thus far, is quite old, and in England this usually means it’s big, and roomy. It also means that it would cost a lot to heat in the winter, since if it’s a ‘listed’ house you’re not able to change the external appearance, which affects your ability to double glaze etc.

Still, it’s proving to be an exciting time in our household.
